Nerf Battle Blasters Challenge
Join us for 2 days of Nerf Battle Blasters

Sunday, February 18th from 3-5 pm
Monday, February 19th
K-6th grade 9-11 am
7-12th grade 12-2 pm

Each Day:
All participants must have a released signed by a parent or guardian
pay $5.00 per day to play
bring you own Nerf Blaster
we will provide safety glasses
Nerf darts
please no shoes but must wear socks

You may print your release from the GAC website or stop by and pick one up.  Releases for Monday, Feb 19th will be sent home from school.
Fastpitch Pitching Camp

Join former Cowgirl Softball player and pitcher Ashley Townsend for the 5 week softball pitching camp.  These early Spring Pitching camps are designed to increase the skill level of each camper in preparation for the upcoming softball season.  If you are a newcomer these camps will focus on the fundamentals and the basics of beginning pitching. If you ve already established a pitching foundation then these camps will focus on location, pitch development and drill to continue growth on the mound.

Camp Dates & Times:

April 8, 15, 22, 29, May 6

10/11 yrs old 2:00 - 3:00 pm will use an 11" ball

12/14 yrs old 3:00 -€“ 4:00 pm will use a 12"€ ball

Each pitcher must provide own catcher, GAC will provide softballs

All camps will be held on Sundays at Centennial Park, Varsity Softball Field

If bad weather, camps will be moved inside to the GAC

Registration fee $50 per camper for a 5 week camp

Registrations will be accepted until 1st day of camp

GAC, GHS Baseball Softball Camps

Join the GAC & GHS Baseball & Softball Teams on Saturday, April 7, 2018

As we host a fundamental of baseball and softball camp, we will cover the fundamentals involved with hitting, throwing, catching and fielding. Youth baseball and softball players need 3 things: -Learn good fundamental movements; -Learn good habits; -Have fun.

2018 Spring Soccer League

                                  Mini Kickers (4-5 yrs old not in Kindergarten)

We will be teaming up with NW Tech Soccer program again this Spring Season to help us with practice, coaching, officiating and providing our youth with basic soccer skills and to have fun.  Please be patient as we must work with unpredictable weather as it comes.  We will do our best to reschedule games, but may not always be able to find make up dates.  Please check the GAC website

10,000 Step Challenge

Challenge registration deadline has been extended to Wednesday January 10th!  Keep challenging your friends and lets get stepping!

Join the Goodland Wellness Committee in this 6 week 10,000 step a day challenge.  Challenge yourself, family, friends, and your community to get moving and take 10,000 steps a day.

Why this challenge, it was created as a way to keep our community moving, fit, healthy and active.  You take steps everyday with everything you do do so why not use them and record them for the betterment of your health.

Cost $10 per individual and each individual may track steps with their own personal tracking device or we will provide you with a pedometer.  You will log your weekly steps in a Google Document, the link will be emailed to you or available at 10,000 Step Challenge Facebook page.

Registration deadline is Monday, January 8th, as the competition will begin on Monday, January 15th you may pick/leave forms and pedometers at GAC, RCDS, Healthful Solutions, Goodland Regional Medical Center and Sherman County Health Dept, or print them off any of the businesses listed above website.

Complete this 6 week challenge and you will be registered in the drawing for a FITBIT. Complete means registering your number of steps for everyday of the challenge in the Google Document, register your steps everyday, even if you fall short of your daily goal, every step matters.

Challenge will be complete Sunday, February 19th, that will be the final day to enter your daily steps into the Google Document.  The drawing for the FITBIT will take place on Wednesday February 21st, we will notify the winners via phone and email.

Drop in Tennis
Tennis anyone, this will be a come and go thing, just hit around and have fun. 

Tuesday evenings from 6:30 pm- till you've had enough. 

At Steever Tennis Courts

All you need is yourself, a racquet and a sleeve of balls. 

This activity is unorganized, its not always certain players will show up but I have had a individual ask me to spread the word as he would like to play. 

So if your interested in hitting the ball around see you head to Steever Park tennis courts.

Parents,  Coaches, Volunteers as you know we are always needing help with various leagues and camps to help make the various activities that we do possible.  So whether you have knowledge of the game, want to volunteer or be an involved parent your time and dedication is greatly appreciated.  Starting this summer the GAC has added a new safety feature to our programs.  We will now be using a background checking program for coaches called Protect Youth Sports.  Not only do we want to provide fun, and exciting leagues, we also want to provide a safe ones. 

All coaches, parents, volunteers involved in GAC activities will be searched through this background check.  Please do not let this scare you away from lending a hand with our activities, we want to provide the safest environment possible for the youth in our community.  There will be no cost to you as a parent, coach or volunteer, the GAC will be paying for the cost of the search.

Ready, Set, Play

The weather is turning cooler and it's just too cold for the park, so gather up your children/child and their favorite toys and stop by the GAC for our new open gym space session called Ready, Set, Play.

Ages 0-Preschool

$1.00 per child, No GAC membership required, no registration required

9:00-10:30am Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning Oct 28th

Bring your child's favorite toys and enjoy this opportunity for some open gym space to run, throw, kick or push your favorite toy around.  All children must be accompanied by a caregiver.

Adults this is a great time to play with your children, have some adult conversation, meet new families or an opportunity to get out of the house.
